Iran opens Hormuz for all commercial vessels after Israel-Lebanon ceasefire

Providing major relief to all nations across the world, Iran, on Friday, finally opened the conflict-torn maritime chokepoint Strait of Hormuz for the passage of all commercial vessels, after a ceasefire was agreed between Israel and Lebanon on Thursday.

Speaking on the development, Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, said, “In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of the ceasefire, on the coordinated route as already announced by the Ports and Maritime Organisation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The development immediately drew the attention of the US President Donald Trump, who took the issue to Truth Social, and expressed his gratitude to the Islamic Republic.

“Iran has just announced that the Strait of Hormuz is fully open and ready for full passage. Thank you!”
