Israel has instructed its army to push deeper into Lebanon, aiming to create a wider buffer zone extending to the Litani River along its northern borders. The Israeli Defense Forces have committed ground troops, and Hezbollah is fighting back with guerrilla operations, firing rockets into northern Israel and targeting Israeli ground forces. Lebanon’s health ministry reports over 1,200 people have been killed in the conflict since March 2, including 120 children, with 3,500 injured. More than 600,000 people have been displaced. Hezbollah has installed cameras in southern Lebanon to track Israeli troop movements and continues to fire missiles and drones. The supply line from Iran through Iraq and Syria to Hezbollah via the Bekaa Valley remains operational, enabling sustained resistance despite Israeli claims of having eliminated Hezbollah’s capabilities.
