Thapanee Techajareonvikul inherited an empire — now she’s making it her own

Thapanee Techajareonvikul is a second-generation member of one of Thailand’s most prominent business dynasties. The family empire, founded by her father Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi and built alongside her late mother Wanna, spans food and beverage, property, hospitality and finance.

In this special edition of “CNBC Meets: Legacies,” Thapanee tells Tania Bryer about the principles behind the family’s expansion, the structure of its multi-billion-dollar succession and how each sibling has taken responsibility for a different part of the business.

As President and CEO of Berli Jucker, Thapanee also discusses expansion into Vietnam, working with her husband and how the family is preparing the third generation for future roles inside the business.
