US President Donald Trump could seek financial support from Arab nations for the ongoing Iran conflict, even as Washington signals progress in negotiations with Tehran, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Monday. Speaking to reporters, Karoline Leavitt said Trump “would be interested” in calling on Arab countries to help cover the cost of the war, adding that the President is likely to speak further on the issue.
The White House also said talks with Iran were continuing, progressing well and that what Tehran says publicly differs from what it tells US in private.
“Despite all of the public posturing you hear from the regime and false reporting, talks are continuing and going well. What is said publicly is, of course, much different than what’s being communicated to us privately,” said Karoline Leavitt.
This is a developing story. It will be updated.
